Fred Humphries

MICROSOFT

Fred Humphries is Corporate Vice President of U.S Government Affairs for Microsoft. In this role, he sets strategy and oversees government affairs outreach on a broad range of topics, including cloud computing, taxes, privacy, trade, cybersecurity, education, and emerging technologies. He is responsible for communicating Microsoft’s leadership role in fostering economic and job opportunities in the U.S. technology sector to policymakers.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Mr. Humphries worked on Capitol Hill for several members, including Minority Leader Congressman Richard Gephardt, as well as on the staffs of four presidential campaigns. 

He serves on the boards of numerous non-profit and public service organizations including Morehouse College Board of Trustees, Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, the USTR Trade Advisory Committee on Africa, the Center for a New American Security, and the International Foundation for Electoral Systems.
