ALI hosted a conversation discussing the national and economic impacts of the Biden Industrial Policy initiatives, including the CHIPS Act, the Infrastructure and Jobs Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act, with Reps., Adam Smith, Marilyn Strickland, Val Hoyle, along with Morgan Dwyer, DOC CHIPS Strategy Officer and national security expert Jeremy Bash. The group discussed the importance of these initiatives in terms of creating U.S. jobs, and the need for additional workforce development to skill workers for the new jobs available as well as the importance of maintaining U.S. technological superiority in key sectors to compete with China.
